The Last Transfer 3: MEHR LICHT

The Last Transfer 3: MEHR LICHT

One morning, as the artist went slowly down the steps to her studio, she suddenly felt moistness on her foot.
Before she knew it, she found herself in the middle of her studio plunged in water up to her knees. The sight was astonishing and terrifying at the same time: everything she had created and worked on was floating around her in silence. From the depths characters and voices from her video-arts shimmered in front of her like ghosts but with suicidal tendencies. While the artist's sole yearned for the enchanting beauty of the catastrophe, her body attempted to hold on to her works, until it could no longer.
The film is based on a real event: the flooding of my studio. It is a mix between the reconstruction of this devastating events and the fantasy of being swallowed by my work. The film crosses the line between reality and fiction many times in the search for the "realness" of creation and it's relationship with the artist
